So I know most blogs you look at and read have a lot of text and fun stories. I am not one for long stories and well I just don't have that much to say. So my blog is mostly compiled of pictures. But hey, don't they say a picture is worth a thousand words anyway?????

Our Holiday Season

We have had a fun and very eventful Holiday Season so far. We have had family parties, shopping trips and a visit to Santa. I love this time of year, and look forward to all the fun still to come.

Dusty taking his turn at a funny game we played at the White Family Christmas party.

Kyla's Gingerbread Men, they were tiny so more like Gingerbread babies.

Looks like Kyla is working hard on her cookies .....................but is actually just eating the candy off of them.

Kyla in the Mall next to the Christmas display during our shopping trip to Vegas.

The aftermath of our busy shopping trip.

My mom, sister and Kyla on the Las Vegas strip in front of the Excalibur where we stayed.

Kyla's visit to Santa (her first ever) did go that well, Kyla is not a fan ....... yet.

I am Thankful for .....................

The list would be too long to start naming everything I am thankful for. At the top of the list however is my wonder family. I have such a great husband and the sweetest little girl ever. Kyla is so much fun, I can not imagine life with out her. She make me laugh, she makes me smile and reminds me daily what life is all about. She is just so sweet and precious. I love her so much!

Halloween

Kyla and cousin Boston, twins for the night!

Kyla and her SEXY Daddy!

My whole family dressed up this year, I guess you could
say we went all out. My dad wasn't going to dress up,
but at the last minute we made him wear a left
over wig. He put on his black jacket and some dark
glasses and looked just like Ozzy Osborn. His
costume ended up being the best one, even though
Dusty did look pretty sexy himself :) We had a lot
of fun dressing up and then we all went trick
or treating together. In Milford, you still go up
and down the streets and door to door the fun old
fashion way. It was one of the funnest Halloweens
since I was a kid myself.

Deer Hunt 2009

The biggest weekend in our lives (ok Dusty's life) has come and gone. We went camping over the weekend deer hunting. We didn't get anything but still had a good time camping and just hanging out with the White family. Kyla got more and more dirty everyday, but we all have fun and look forward to next year!

Nothing Eventful

I have not posted anything in a while, well because nothing eventful has really happened. Kyla is 20 months old and surprises me everyday with something new. She is so smart she understand everything you tell her. She is obsessed with shoes right now. She puts them on and takes them off all day. She wants to wear them non stop even in the house at night. I am to the point now that I just hide them unless we are going out. She came up missing one day and to no surprise she had shut herself in my closet and was playing with all my shoes. She is starting to talk more and more. She learns and says a new word everyday. She is so much fun, I love her to pieces!

Hidden Canyon Ranch

The Thompson Family

The Albrecht Family Reunion was held this past weekend at the Hidden Canyon Ranch near Baker, Nevada. It is out in the middle of no where. As we are driving miles and miles of dry desert sagebrush we were a little nervous of where we were going to be spending the weekend. It turned out to be a really pretty area. There was tons of huge trees and green grass, it didn't feel or look like the desert at all. There was a huge lodge, smaller cabins, hotel suite rooms, a pool, pavilion with a nice cooking kitchen, fishing pond, playground and even more stuff we didn't have time to do. It was truly a resort in the middle of no where. Of course the weekend went by too fast, but we had a lot of fun.
Dusty and Kyla waiting for lunch.
Right outside the pavilion where we ate, there were a bunch of apple trees. The deer would come in to eat the apples. They were pretty tame and got pretty close as you can see in the background.

Hanging out at the swimming pool.
Kyla and Boston at Lehman's Cave.
Lehman's Cave is only about 30 minutes from the Ranch, so we went there on Saturday. I got a picture of me and Dusty inside the cave, but the flash made us look like we were standing in fire, rather than a cave so I won't post that. We had tons of fun, look forward to next year.

UPRR

For those of you not from Milford, you wouldn't know that UPRR stands for Union Pacific Railroad. Growing up in Milford trains are just an everyday occurrence that you never think twice about. Since leaving Milford and then going back time to time and hearing the train horns in the distance, I kind of miss that. The railroad has been a big part of my family. Both of my grandpas worked on the railroad as well as my Dad does currently. When I was little, we would go down to the Depot when either of my grandpas or dad was coming home and watch their train pull in. They would wave from the engine and as little kids we thought it was so neat.

Last weekend I was in Milford and my Dad was on his way home from work. Kyla has never seen or been around trains before so we went down to the Depot (like old times) and waited for my Dad's train to pull in. You forget how big and loud they really are. As the train pulled in there was my Dad at the engine window waving at us. Kyla got a little nervous but all in all it was fun to take her and show her the "big choo choo".

Happy 50th

Every summer my family has a camp out in the Beaver Mountains. We celebrate my Dad's, Sister, and Sister in Law's birthday since they are all with in a week of one another. This year was extra fun and special because it was my Dad's 50th Birthday. We had a lot of fun harassing him and giving him a bad time, but after all Dad we love you and hope you had a great birthday!

a green pig she got at the parade.

Evening Ride

I got a new bike a while back and we put a child seat on it. Me, Kyla and Lady go for a ride every night. Of course Lady just runs behind us but it has been good exercise and fun for Kyla. Thanks to Aunt Emily and Robert Debry for hooking us up with such a sweet helmet!!!

Too Much Time in the High Chair

Kyla spends a lot of time in her high chair by the time she eats, colors, has a snack, etc. She was having a snack while watching a movie one afternoon in her high chair. I think she might be spending too much time there, what do you think???

Kyla's New Interest

Kyla still seems too little for a lot of things. Coloring would be one of them. She is always trying to get a pen and draw on things, so I bought her some crayons and she sat in her high chair one evening and colored on a piece of paper for a good 30-40 minutes. I guess she is bigger and smarter than I give her credit for.
